Why do my pictures look different on my computer?

Do you ever wonder why the colors on your picture just don't look right when you down load them on to your computer? Or why someone viewing your pictures on the net tells you the colors are bad or over saturated on their computer? Well it might be this. Computer monitors tend to have a blue tint to them. It is done on purpose to reduce eye strain. Most computers are sold as tools for business. To get a true representation of your photo, you need to have a calibrated monitor. There are many inexpensive tools on the market to calibrate your monitor. The kits contain a colorimeter and some software that calibrates and writes a custom profile that is then loaded onto your system during the boot process. The difference can be quite stunning. And best of all, if you correct the colors in a post processing program, you know you are correcting to the true colors. Mike
