Hey Rocky, want to go halfsies on the Pontiac Silverdome?

 The Pontiac Silverdome, home of the Detroit Lions when they were a halfway decent team and host to SuperBowl XVI, recently sold for not much more than our two mortgages combined. Constructed in 1975 for $55 million, it recently sold for $583,000 to a Canadian real estate firm.
The price is indicative of the collapse of the real estate market and depression-like conditions in the Detroit Metro area. The Silverdome will be used for Major League Soccer games, auctions, and tractor pulls, which is what the Metrodome in Minneapolis has to look forward to if and when the Vikings get their new stadium built.
