Uncharted 2: Among Thieves (Updated Impressions)

Last week I wrote about my initial impressions of Uncharted 2 upon its release. As promised, I am now halfway through the game and wanted to continue to share my thoughts on the game..

If you own a Playstation 3 and don't have this sitting on your shelf, shame on you!

The game takes a while to take shape, really focusing on a storyline that sets the tone for the game. Once the gameplay takes center stage, I have been amazed how this game actually just get's better and better. I mentioned in my initial impressions how this game feels like a movie and it does. Not only have I been excited about the gameplay elements, but I want to know more about the story and what is next for Nathan Drake. The combination of these two elements always makes for a great video game.

Okay so back to gameplay, this game rocks! I have ran away from cars chasing at me, carried a wounded friend through a city while dodging gunfire to save his life, hanged off street signs and used them as shields to fight off large groups of enemies, solved big puzzles and played the greatest level of any video game ever. All I am going to do is post a video clip of this specific level and I think after watching this, you will see what this game has to offer. Enjoy! I will return once I finish the game to wrap up my thoughts on a definite candidate for "Game of the Year."
